I am at chapter 19, but I already knew something about japanese before I began. The only thing I miss is Kanji. I think it would be great if it had the option of Kanji together with romanization and translation during the exempes and exercises. I also think that would help to have lists of phrases to write from japanese to english and the other way around. But it is a very good app especialy because of the cultural tips.

I already know basic Japanese so the first few chapters wont do much for me, but I absolutely love the writing style of the author. Everything is well explained and supported with examples. The visual presentation is stunning. The review section complements the sections perfectly. Perfect! Absolutely worth the price!

This app is great for learning the Japanese language! It is straightforward and challenges you, but not boring or dull at all. It feels like playing and learning at the same time. I mastered Hiragana in a mere three days! Would always recommend.

This is probably the best app for learning japanese. It is like a book with s quiz at the end of each chapter. Dont expect the skill coming automatically to you: you have to read and understand like with every learning book. But this one is well written, easy to understand and fun to work with. The flash card app anki has all the human Japanese flash cards waiting for you. In combination, this app is unbeatable. I recommend it to everybody with good command of English. I am not a native speaker of English, but it is still possible to work with HJ.

This app is amazing! Had for about 1 week now and already have the japanese alphabet memorized. Author makes the language more approchable and doesnt overwelm you. This app has jump started me and made Rossetta Stone (a computer program for languages) much easier to further my understanding of japanese. 9.99 is a reasonable price too.

Really a book with added sound files, this is the best introduction to Japanese I have read. Well worth it.

I first got the free version and it was the most useful thing I have read. I recently went to Japan and every single thing in this app helped my japanese incredibley. I just bought the full version because even just the first 10 chapters taught me soooo much. i would have bought it if it was 20$ or more because it taught me alot more than the 100s of dollars i spend on textbooks and dictionarys and workbooks! If you are weary about buying this app get the free version first and I garuntee you will want to learn more. This app rocks!!

By far the most useful and worthwhile app available. The author appears to have genuine enthusiasm for this subject and it shows in the quality of her/his writing and the ingenuity of the app. I enjoyed learning with the app so much, it inspired me to join a Japanese school, however Im still using the app for reference and practice. The best $10 Ive spent so far.

This app is incredible. I was looking to learn Japanese, and I started with audiobooks and text books, but nothing could even compare to this. I tried the Lite version, and after a few lessons, I knew I would need the full version. Well worth the ten dollars!

Incredible app. Ive always wanted to learn another language (polish, mandarin or japanese) but Ive always started to get those little tears of boredom in the corner of my eye whenever reading your average "how to" handbook. This app is nothing like that. Its simple, intuitive, humble and above all else; its fun! The author gently guides you through a difficult language without forcing down hard to understand words down your throat. Its all done at YOUR pace and that alone makes all the difference between fun and frustrating. Ten bucks is definetely worth it. If youre serious about learning Japanese that is. 6/5

10 dollars might seem like a lot for an App, but with Human Japanese you get your moneys worth and more. This is an excellent introductory book which integrates media for writing and pronouncing Japanese. You could spend significantly more money at a bookstore on products which arent nearly as good. If youre interested in Japanese I would definitely recommend this app.
