Incredibly Intuitive and Interesting, Interactive Imperative (For Learning Japanese)
My ever-growing interest in Japanese culture demanded I finally start learning the language in the hopes that I might one day be capable of visiting the country without being at a total loss. I stumbled upon this app and was not disappointed. Brilliantly written chapters have me feeling like Im sitting one-on-one with a Sensei that not only teaches me about the language itself, but about the history and culture of Japan as well. This app has been the perfect resource for me to learn about Japanese language and culture without over-burdening my brain with too much information at any given time, which makes it easier for me to come back, eager to learn more, time and time again. Like the name suggests, this app understands that the reader is a human and never feels like so many of those stuffy, insufferable text-books that I have encountered all too often throughout my education. This app is vastly superior to any book I could have purchased for the same price, especially considering that it is interactive and I can tap just about any Japanese word or phrase to hear it read aloud, to name but one feature. There are even quizzes (and sometimes games) at the end of each chapter to track your progress. Passing each quiz means unlocking the following chapter, though this can easily be disabled if you so choose. This is a truly wonderful app and I believe that people would be less weary of educational reading if more of it was structured similarly to Human Japanese.
